Social media can sometimes give me a headache however, I must give Instagram all the credit for introducing me to the amazing photography duo of Moonrise District
-Jeimy & Alex. I had the opportunity to work with them on a photoshoot featuring my fall collection.
We met early on a Sunday morning, in a effort to dodge the tourists, at the Ronald Reagan Building along with their friend and local creative, Alex Rice. I gave Jeimy and Alex free reign to interpret and style the shoot how they wanted so you guys could see it in a different light and wow-did they do a fantastic job! Not to mention, Alex Rice is a phenomenal model with enviable effortless, cool girl vibes.
Every designer (for the most part) wants their collection to "easily transition from day to night" but its not so often that this always achieved. When I designed this collection, I wanted it to be more low key with the possibility of transitioning between office and happy hour if need be-elevated weekend pieces if you may. Hearing Jeimy say that the collection is full of versatile weekend pieces was music to my ears! What do you guys think-lots of weekend friendly versatility?
