We love the midi length, if you couldn't tell. It's our signature thing. However, pairing the right shoes with your midi dress or skirt can sometimes be tricky. We've rounded up a few picks that will keep you looking elongated, refined, and comfortable this spring/summer 2019 season.
1. The Slide
A forever spring/summer favorite, the slide is really our favorite shoe to wear when wearing a midi length. It keeps the ankle free and creates a continuous line from your head to feet, which means you look tall.
2. The Flatform
Flatforms are the easiest way to elevate your look without having to think too much about where you're walking, like you do in heels. This extra height is going to do amazing things for you and elongate your look.
3. The Sneaker
Sneaker and midi dress/skirt? Believe it or not, it totally works! This pair is the best for when you are being a tourist, chasing the kids, or running errands and don't want to be in pants or shorts. If this is a little outside of your comfort zone, keep the sneaker simple and white, maybe even a slip-on style. You'll thank us later.
The most important thing to remember when pairing shoes with midi's, is to keep the ankle free. Avoid ankle straps, unless they're lace-ups. Ankle straps will make you look choppy, but know that sometimes it's a fun look! However, if you are trying to maximize your height, you'll want to stay away from these. Lace-up shoes are fine because they work to lengthen you as the ties go up your legs! Do you have any other shoe go-tos for your midi's? Comment below and let us know!
