Designed With A Purpose: Boyfriend Snap Front Dress

Back for another DWAP! Today I'm talking about one of my favorites this season, the Boyfriend Snap Front Dress. For one, I love button down shirts. I love tucking one side in and rolling the sleeves just above the elbows, I think it gives off this effortless, cool, yet refined look. So how does the dress part come in? Well, this season I envisioned myself living in a boyfriend style dress, something breezy yet tailored, something that mixed a bit of masculinity with femininity. I am drawn to the masculinity and tailored appeal of the collar, with the femininity of the bottom half being a dress. Want to know a secret about this dress? It wasn't supposed to have gold snaps! Thats right, no snaps and instead, clear buttons. For various reasons, I decided to go with snaps and I am so happy I did! In my opinion, these snaps make the dress.
I wanted something I could wear to a nice lunch at an outdoor cafe, during a day of running errands, or in the evening with a chunky flatform or block heel sandal. Paired with our cotton carry-all tote or a structured clutch, I'd be ready for anything. I also wanted something I could picture myself on vacation in. Our entire SS18 collection was inspired by striped vintage umbrellas that you see on beaches and at resorts. The dress (and the Boyfriend Snap Front Top) are both the epitome of summer and vacation to me. Another plus about this dress? The fabric is a blend of cotton + polyester, making its wrinkling tendencies slim! Pack this on your next vacation, or for staycation days, you won't be disappointed!
How to Wear: Pair with flatforms or platforms, or your favorite slides. Keep your handbag neutral so the dress is the focus. Add tassel earrings for a resort-esque look.
