Will winter ever be over? It seems like after the holidays end, winter seems to drag on, miserably. There are only so many boot + jean + sweater outfit combinations, am I right? I don't know about you but I am desperately craving new pieces to wear and new outfits to create. However, it does seem like this cold weather will be around a bit more, especially here in the DMV. I've rounded up 3 things to get you through the tail end (fingers crossed) of winter.
1. Leather + Floral Bag
I don't change handbags very often, and now that I think about it, I definitely have my designated seasonal bags. If you can, change things up with a mix of leather and floral. The black leather is winter appropriate, but with a simple floral mix you will feel a bit of lightness.
2. Metallic Boots
Yes, I am definitely ready for sandals but if you have to wear boots a little while longer, might as well make it fun right? If you have been living in black chelsea boots like myself, these will be a fun change. What is great about these metallic boots is you can even get away with wearing them into early spring. Pair with a skirt and light sweater for an invigorated, transitional spring look.
3. Camel Scarf
If you don't already have one of these, it's time to invest. I can't stand being cold and as the low temperatures continue to drag on, I have less and less tolerance for it. Get yourself a big, camel scarf that you can cocoon your neck in. Wrap it multiple times around your neck, even tuck your hair in if that's your thing, and throw on your favorite coat. Camel is such a sophisticated neutral color, always guaranteeing you nail that refined yet effortless look.
